Though not a super stretch and more a production limousine, Nissan has announced that it has delivered the first fuel cell limo to a company in Japan.The X-TRAIL FCV.
The X-TRAIL FCV is a limousine version of the fuel cell powered FCV (Fuel cell vehicle) which runs on Hydrogen rather than conventional fuel.
Japan leading the way
The limo was to be delivered to Kanagawa Toshikoutsu Ltd (site in japanese), so expect the new fuel cell limo service launching very soon.
Fuel cells and Hybrids the future
Sales of fuel cell and hybrid vehicles are expected to increase over the next few years with investment from the major car manufacturers and development of hydrogen fuel stations across the world.
